No no no, Power of Stardust isn’t dead, let’s just get that out of the way right now.

We’re still alive.

 

We’ve just been going very, very slow for the past year owing to the world going through one of those “everyone clearly saw the horrible scenario unfolding but voted FORTIFIED the wrong people into power to guarantee the worst possible outcome” scenarios. 

 

You know, just the opening to The Road Warrior, no big deal. Just something for future generations to laugh at, something for them to scratch their heads over while they say “Wait, why did they vote for the malfunctioning Hall of Presidents animatronic again?”

 

For those of you that don’t know, Nyamo, our Power of Stardust artist, lives in Belarus. She also volunteers at a hospice, because she’s a very good person, but considering the age of people in hospice, odds were good she would see people with covid, and she did, and she got it.

 

And she went back to caring for people in hospice because, again, she’s a very good person. But she got covid again. Remember those variants in the news?

 

She’s alright now, but with the recent geopolitical situation being what it is because vote in stupid people, get stupid timelines, it’s been hard to get money to her, which means she has to do other jobs to make ends meet, which means production time on the comic still slows down.

 

It’s still getting done. It will be finished. It’s just going to take some time. 

 

Mermeladadapera (say that five times fast) has been a huge help in getting the Stardust train back on track. He’s doing the art for issue 5 while Nyamo continues the art for issue 4, and several pages of issue 5 are already on patreon to view along with Nyamo’s roughs for several future pages of issue 4.
