The Empire’s connection to the multiverse appears limited to the Narrator, which means they pose little danger to the multiverse at large. However, internally the Empire is facing a challenge to its decade of peace from the Fourth Collective terrorist organization. Their caution rating may increase based upon how that plays out. Let’s hope it doesn’t.

(The Empire is the setting of SAiNT by RJ BonArt. Check it out by clicking here!)
In a world that has moved on from myth and magic, a new age is dawning from the darkness of ages past…
A decade ago, the Empire, with the help of its Elthanian Allies, emerged victorious from the 8th Imperial Civil War. It was a controversial war, and though the conflict was resolved, embers of resentment remained. In the present, the Fourth Collective terrorist organization seeks to fan those embers into the flames of another war.
The Fourth Collective, who count among their number the brilliant roboticist Dr. Yo-Yo and his right-hand man Kenji Yamikaze, uses giant robots to commit acts of destruction, industrial sabotage, and kidnapping (the preferred target being Patrician heiress Katherine “Kat” Tujor). But the Empire is protected by a team of crack agents that stand ready to battle the Fourth Collective, prominent among them being Baronet “Barry” Valorous, age 16, the D’elf Ar’Thgurzen “Arthur” Atheron, age 87, Ruth Nemorino, the 7th Scarlet Sparrow and age 14, and Sorento “Soren” Santos, age 14 and partner to the giant robot Centurion.
Centurion was created by Dr. Yo-Yo to be his greatest creation, but Barry and Soren intervened during Centurion’s activation and Centurion appears to have bonded to the young Soren. Through a special watch, Soren is able to communicate with Centurion and advise him during combat. Their relationship goes well beyond that of a boy and his weapon. The two empathize with each other. Soren never asked to have the huge responsibility of the worlds’ mightiest weapon at his beck and call and Centurion never asked to be given life just to fight and destroy his “brother” robots.
Centurion appeared to live up to being Dr. Yo-Yo’s greatest creation besting Fourth Collective robots like the Mauler, XC V8, Harrow, and Tailheads, but Dr. Yo-Yo recently finished construction on a new model intended to be an improvement on Centurion designated K45K, also known as Kask.
Whether Soren and Centurion will be able to defeat this new robot remains to be seen…
Knowledge of the Empire comes to us from the Narrator, a mysterious but charming individual who is capable of observing events throughout the multiverse. Is he a god? A Form Master? A Void Spinner? His origins are shrouded in mystery, but he seems to be one of the good guys and has been fully cooperative with ARGO. He likes to tell stories, and he is very good at it.
It is rumored, but so far unconfirmed, that the superhero known as Elven Archer in our universe originally came from the Empire as an Elthanian superhero known as the Masked Archer. The Weft Authority has been unable to reach the Masked/Elven Archer for comment.
Joana’s Dream
Recently, the Narrator shared with us how he transported Joana, the maid of Baronet “Barry” Valorous, through the Astral to the Yue Kingdom.
It seems that the Yue Kingdom has a Fox echo in the Empire–a series of graphic novels, and that Joana was a fan of the villainous but troubled prince Sutak.
Time travel was involved in setting up the meeting. Relative to our position in macrotime, Sutak has already perished by his sister’s hand and Joana is younger, but the Astral is beyond time just as it is beyond space.
In using his powers to give a moment of happiness to Joana and Sutak, the Narrator shows that he’s a very skilled worldwalker. Even ARGO doesn’t know how to access the Yue Kingdom. But more than skill, he shows that he has heart.
Told you he was one of the good guys.
Individuals of Notice
Key Imperial Youth Brigade Members
Long, long ago, in the years following the Exarch Wars, Emperor Trajanyus Maryus created the Frumentarii, an elite group of special operators and talents gathered from throughout the empire. Talent and skill is not confined to the old, and so a branch for teenagers and children was shortly established called the Imperial Youth Brigade or IYB. The IYB’s purpose is to gather and train youth with special abilities and skills to become the secret service of the Empire. The IYB has protected the Empire for 1500 years, far longer than any superteam from our reality, and they will continue to pave a path towards the future!
A giant robot, what our world would call a guardian giant, originally created by Dr. Yo-Yo to destroy the Empire. He is instead the Empire’s greatest defender at the beck and call of Soren who controls Centurion through a modified wristwatch.
Four years ago, Soren came into possession of Centurion and now leads him in battle not just as his commander, but as his friend. Soren is a young man whose age belies his heart and courage.
Arthur is a bright and gifted Deep Elf, or D’elf, who serves as the Imperial Youth Brigade’s gadgeteer. If there’s a problem, he’s got a solution for it.
Large, boisterous, and brave, Barry is not only a great commander in the field but a great operative owing to his royal bloodline which gives him superhuman strength.
The Empire has its own superhero legacies, and Ruth is part of one as the seventh Scarlet Sparrow. She is part of a legacy that has dispensed justice and mercy in the Empire for 1500 years, making the Scarlet Sparrow legacy much older than any legacy from our own world. She is also one of Soren’s oldest friends and they work well together.
The girlfriend of Barry, Katherine is often kidnapped due to her status as a heiress from a wealthy and noble family as well as due to being Barry’s girlfriend. Through it all, she maintains an optimistic and positive attitude.
A Brigade member specializing in reconnaissance, Juno uses technique similar to that used by the ninjas of our own reality.
A research scientist who often works alongside Arthur.
The president of the IYB. She’s the one that keeps track of the team’s expenditures.
A gifted combat engineer who can put Centurion back together no matter what wounds he suffers in battle.
A genius roboticist who’s son created Centurion as a weapon of revenge against the empire. He is perhaps the greatest current threat to the Empire.
A frighteningly powerful robot created by Dr. Yo-Yo as an improvement on Centurion. Does Centurion stand any chance against something created to surpass him?
Kenji Yamikaze
The youngest son of Hayate Yamikaze, he is devoted to the cause of the Fourth Collective. Is something of a factotum for the group, doing whatever needs to be done even if he has to do it with his own hands. He’s a crack shot with a pistol.
Is there a crossover building up or something?
looks interesting
Love the name, Micronauts represent!
Maybe there will be some crossover stuff later on, but right now I’m just doing some clean-up of previous crossovers.
