Whew! What a fight! And what a kill! Who could have seen Wally jumping forward in time to kill Sonic after his powers wore off?

Oh wait. I did.

I guess with this and the Star Seed from MOTU I’m not 2-0 against G1.

Come on G1, step it up!

We’ll probably never get a kill like Wally fragging Sonic through time and space unless we get Superman killing Goku a third time by hitting him so hard all his multiversal selves feel it (he did that to Brainiac once). To celebrate such an awesome kill, I’m holding a contest.

The first person to source (issue and page number, or issue and context) all 37 (now 44!) of the murdered Sonics will get to have whatever match-up they like done as an episode of the FORBIDDEN Death Battle Prediction Blog. I’ll even do anime after 1985.

To help out the Sonic hunt, I’ll be updating the gallery below with identified Sonics.

22 Issue 48. Sonic spindashes through a swatbot while he reflects on his comic getting more grim. “He understood true war.”

23 Issue 35. Sonic is about to fall into the green sea but gets saved by his billionth ring which acts as a life saver. Sometimes a magic ring can be useful just by being a ring. (Found by Frosty Toucan).

24 Issue 61. Sonic helps the Downunda Freedom Fighters (remember those guys?) fight off an ambush on a raft. (Found by Frosty Toucan).

25 Sanic. He’s a meme. He’s gotta go fast.

26 Issue 52. Sonic is taken to a 1930’s Film Noir themed world called Discovery Zone by a magic zoot suit. This specific Sonic appears after he tosses Crow T Robot from MST3K into a building and takes Discovery Zone NICOLE from him.

27 Issue 85. Sonic leaps out of the way of Silver Sonic. (Found by Frosty Toucan).

28 Issue 290. Sonic jumps over a laser fired by Metal Sonic. (Found by Frosty Toucan).

35 After much deliberation and comparing this image to 1 over and over, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is a repeat of 1 just heavily distorted.

44 Issue 71. Ultra Sonic gets his green eyes and belt buckles on his shoes after getting a satellite fired “time beam” into hitting him instead of Knothole after running around the planet a few times to accelerate the speed of time itself. I guess this means Ultra Sonic wasn’t invulnerable from Wally’s attacks after all?
