KAISER’S BATTLES #1: JIN SAOTOME VS DOMON KASSHU

Fight written by Kaiser, edited by Otto

JIN SAOTOME, the VA pilot from Capcom’s Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness!

DOMON KASSHU, the Gundam Fighter of Neo Japan from Mobile Fighter G Gundam!

These hot-blooded pilots of awesome giant machines have kicked ass through robot fighting tournaments in search of answers, but whose fighting spirit would burn brighter and come out on top if they were to fight each other? Let’s find out!

Disclaimer: The primary sources of information of this battle are gonna be Cyberbots for Jin and G Gundam for Domon. Jin’s Marvel vs Capcom moveset will be used as a complement to gauge what he can do. He won’t get MvC scaling for the same reason Domon won’t get Super Robot Wars scaling.

Background

By the end of the 21st century, Earth has become super technologically advanced and overpopulated. Giant combat machines called Variant Armors were created with multiple purposes, from prize fighting to war, and people began living in giant space colonies.  In one of these colonies, the young Jin Saotome was born, son of Ken Saotome, a VA pilot serving in the military force of Earth, the “Earth Corps”. When Jin was 20 years old, Ken, along with his entire unit of soldiers, was killed in what seemed like a mysterious training accident. In order to honor his father’s memory, Jin descends to Earth to become the greatest VA pilot of all and prove his worth in the VA battle circuit with his trusty mecha, the BX-02 Blodia.

One day, Jin came across a mysterious and amnesiac cyborg called Shade in the battle circuit, who after being defeated namedropped “Saotome” and a certain Gawaine, who happened to be Ken Saotome’s former colleague at the Earth Corps. What could this mean? Looking for answers, Jin confronted Gawaine. After some sparring, Gawaine admitted to hiding the truth from Jin. Ken and his team died doing security for an experimental super weapon.

On his way to know more, Jin stumbled upon Earth Corps Captain Mary Miyabi, who put him in the right direction after being defeated. Jin then sought Santana Laurence, an old friend of Gawaine and a scavenger who could help Jin with a booster for his VA. After a brief fight, Jin gets the booster and leaves for a huge satellite in Earth’s orbit to find out about this super weapon and the circumstances of his father’s death.

Arriving at the space station housing the super weapon, Jin meets Arieta, a child piloting a haywire VA, who reveals Earth Corp has been using children in experiments to power the super weapon–the Particle Atomizer. The only way to destroy this child-consuming weapon of mass destruction is to destroy its CPU, or rather its brain, a biomechanical entity known as G.O.D for “Ganglions of Omniscient Disruptor.”

Really.

After being guided to the brain by the leader of the Resistance Fleet (they’re resisting the Earth Corp in case you were wondering, for reasons that should be obvious from the giant Ethan Ralph super weapon they made) Jin defeats a powerful VA controlled by G.O.D (the type of VA varies by playthrough, an interesting feature of Cyberbots, as apparently G.O.D selects what it thinks is the best possible machine to defeat the player character. In Jin’s case G.O.D used the X-0 Warlock) and shuts down the Particle Atomizer, but not before G.O.D sets the space station on a collision course against Earth as a final “screw you.”

While the station fell and started to burn up in the atmosphere, Shade appeared once again to confront Jin. After a climactic battle, the cyborg reveals he was actually forced to kill Ken Saotome and the rest of his squad in order to test his loyalty to Earth Corp. Being offered the opportunity to become a perfect soldier, Shade was brainwashed and lost his mind after becoming a cyborg. With his memories regained and seeking to atone for his sins, Shade rams the station and self destructs, causing an explosion that altered the falling trajectory and made it disintegrate in the atmosphere.

On Earth, Jin and Gawaine make a grave for Shade and pay their respects for the fallen hero. Jin shows regret for acting so impulsively and wanting revenge over all, and goes home with Gawaine as the sun sets.

Jin’s Powers and Abilities

While inspired by his father, Jin honed and developed his skills by himself. His fighting style is based on Japanese martial arts taught to the military during WW2, as his character is based around a Japanese soldier from that era. He has formidable strength and skill on foot, and is capable of many special moves, such as:

  • Tornado Kick: Jin jumps in the air and launches a flaming spinning kick at the opponent. He is also able to perform this move as a slide.
  • Saotome Typhoon: Jin spins around and dashes forward in a tornado of flames.
  • Saotome Dynamite: Jin’s pilot suit EXPLODES where he stands and is quickly assembled again.
  • Saotome Crush: Jin grabs the opponent and drags them along the four corners of the screen.
  • Saotome Cyclone: A bigger and stronger version of the Saotome Typhoon, covering a bigger area and launching the opponent further up.
  • Saotome Shine: Jin is enveloped by energy and never flinches from any attack. Activated when Jin is at his last life in MvC.

BX-02 BLODIA

Basic Info

Height: 14.5 meters

Weight: 43.2 tons

That’s about as tall as a medieval watchtower and about as five times as heavy as a tyrannosaurus rex.

Blodia is a powerful Variant Armor made exclusively for combat with a focus on close range. It is piloted by Jin from a cockpit that resembles that of a plane’s. The VA can hover, fly, dash, perform grabs, punches and kicks and even use multiple parts of its arsenal to deal considerable damage to the enemy.

As a Variant Armor, Blodia’s loadout varies (hence Variant Armor). For instance, in its classic BX-02 Blodia form, Blodia is equipped with a BIT (totally not lifted from Gundam), a power knuckle, and a “command walker” which despite sounding like something you buy for nursing homes, are his legs. But in its BX-04S Swordsman configuration, it swaps out the power knuckle for a sword, the BIT for an electric net launcher, and the legs for tank treads. And in the BX-07R Riot configuration, he swaps out of the legs for jets (which makes it kind of like the Zeong) the power knuckle for a giant rocket arm (I think its an improvement), and the BIT for a vulcan cannon.

Blodia has to switch between these variants between battles. It can’t like, morph from Blodia to Swordsman and back again during a fight. It has to be taken apart and put back together at a garage.

While Swordsman and Riot are interesting, this fight will focus on Blodia as its easily the most iconic variant being featured in Tech Romancer and Marvel vs Capcom.

Blodia’s Powers and Abilities

  • Slide Drill: Blodia dashes forward and performs a slide, piercing the opponent with a drill from its calf.
  • BIT Beam: Blodia fires a small beam with its small BIT satellite.
  • Gatling Rod: Blodia extends the power knuckle’s blades, stabbing the opponent multiple times.
  • Full Metal Charge: Blodia overflows with energy, performing an upwards diagonal chest charge.
  • Needle Press: Blodia jumps and drops on the opponent, piercing them with retractable knee spikes.
  • Laser Blade: Blodia fires a beam of energy from its shield gun.
  • Machine Pumper: Blodia fires a potent ammo boosted punch with the power knuckle.
  • Disassemble: Blodia grabs the opponent and tries to rip off the opponent’s arm.
  • Break Shaft: Blodia extends the blades from the power knuckle, impaling the opponent. It then proceeds to shoot it multiple times with its shield gun.
  • Punching Bag: Blodia grabs the opponent and pummels them repeatedly with the power knuckle.
  • Direct Press: Blodia grabs the opponent, slamming them to the ground and shooting them with the shield gun.
  • Giga Burst: Blodia releases a great amount of energy in an explosion.
  • Planet Smasher: A deadly combination ending with a Full Metal Charge.
  • Blodia Vulcan: Blodia fires with its mounted machine guns at the enemy.
  • Charge: Blodia is able to charge up its energy.

Blodia’s Feats and Stats

General:

  • Defeated many VAs in combat. From prize fighters to experienced warriors and high ranking officers from the Earth Corps and the Resistance Fleet.
  • Destroyed G.O.D.’s brain and stopped the Particle Atomizer.

Strength/AP:

Speed:

Durability:

  • Can take beatings from opponents who can destroy buildings too.
  • Tanked re-entry.

BLODIA II CUSTOM

Jin is featured as a secret character in Tech Romancer/Kikaioh, a spiritual sequel to Cyberbots set in another continuity. There, Jin pilots an upgraded version of Blodia called the Blodia II Custom, with an expanded moveset. It’s a given Blodia’s perfomance has been upgraded overall, but there’s no way to measure it for a fact since its not part of the story. New moves for Jin include Blodia Kick, a Rider Kick-like attack, and the ability to use weapons such as a big full-screen beam cannon and a throwing bomb.

MORE JIN INFORMATION

Blodia and Jin’s Weaknesses

  • Jin is hot-headed and impulsive, and is easily provoked.
  • Blodia’s weapon energy is limited, and depleting it will make Blodia unable to fire BIT.
  • Blodia’s boost energy is limited, and depleting it will make Blodia unable to dash, hover and fly. However, it replenishes automatically.
  • Blodia is vulnerable while charging its energy.
  • Sustaining enough damage will make Blodia lose its right arm and be unable to use any attack with the power knuckle. The same can happen if it’s hit once during an energy charge.

Trivia:

  • Jin’s overall character and design are heavily inspired by Kakugo Hagakure, the main protagonist of the manga and OVA Kakugo no Susume, or Apocalypse Zero.
  • Jin’s name and surname are based on characters from the Getter Robo series, Jin Hayato and Doctor Saotome.
  • In the Sega Saturn release of Cyberbots, Jin was voiced by Tohru Furuya, famous for voicing Amuro Ray from the Mobile Suit Gundam series.
  • The kanji on the back of Jin’s uniform mean “best in space” (宇宙一).
  • Blodia’s design and functionality are inspired by the Scopedog, from the Armored Trooper Votoms series.

Background

GUNDAM FIGHT!!!!!

READY!!!!! GO!!!!!!

When Mobile Suit Gundam premiered in 1981, it kicked off a multi-generational saga just like Star Trek. It was followed in 1985 by Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, which you can think of as Mobile Suit Gundam: The Next Generation, which was followed in 1986 with ZZ Gundam, which was sort of like Gundam: DS9 if instead of being darker than the previous shows it was goofier and lighter, which in turn was followed in 1993 with Victory Gundam, which was placed several generations in the future and was intended to be a capstone on the series. It was supposed to be the big epilogue to what is now known as Gundam’s “Universal Century.”

If you know your modern Gundam shows, you know that didn’t status didn’t last, and there’s been several series set in the UC since Victory Gundam, but in 1994, the door was shut on the UC, so what were Gundam writers supposed to do?

There’s a Hell of a universe next door, let’s go…

They went to the another universe, like how (almost) every season of Digimon takes place in a different universe. And they did the smart thing and made a new universe without blowing up the previous like Crisis on Infinite Earths did (the first and strongest comic book redpill is that Crisis on Infinite Earths was a mistake).

Debuting in 1994, G Gundam set the stage for a slew of alternate universe Gundam shows. Gundam Wing, 00 Gundam, Iron Blood Orphans, they all owe a debt to grandpappy G Gundam.

And yes, before Gundam fans pester me about it, I know about the Black History from Turn A, but lets not open that can of of continuity violating, self-contradictory worms.

For the sake of simplicity and sanity, let’s just say that Domon’s Earth is a very different Earth from Amuro’s.

Future Century, Earth. Pollution and wars have ruined the world, making most of humanity migrate to space colonies, while some still live down on the barren planet. The space colonies (each representing a country from Earth) decided that instead of having wars, they’d hold a fighting tournament using giant robots every 4 years to see which colony would rule the world until the next tournament. And so, the Gundam Fight started. In the Gundam Fight, every colony is represented by a Gundam Fighter and a Mobile Fighter. Mobile Fighters are huge piloted robots made for combat with multiple special abilities and designs, representing their countries’ culture and characteristic martial arts.

In the colony of Neo Japan, Domon Kasshu was born. Son of the brilliant scientist Dr. Raizo Kasshu and brother of the prodigy Kyoji Kasshu, Domon was trained by the ex-Neo Hong Kong Gundam Fighter Master Asia from a young age. Under Master Asia’s training he even earned the title of “King of Hearts” by his teacher due to his prowess in martial arts, being recognized as the strongest fighter.

Soon after, Domon learned some bad news from the government of Neo-Japan: his family was working on an “evil machine” called the Devil Gundam (Dark Gundam in the English version, the fucking cowards) and that his older brother had stolen it and headed for Earth. Domon’s mother, Mikino Kasshu, was killed in the conflict and his father, Dr. Raizo Kasshu was frozen for constructing the Gundam. Looking to learn the truth about the Devil Gundam, confront his brother, avenge his mother and earn his father’s freedom, Domon became Neo-Japan’s representative in the 13th Gundam fight by piloting the Shining Gundam.

Much went down after Domon descended to Earth for the Gundam fight. The Shining Gundam scored many victories against Mobile Fighters from other countries, and Domon has made powerful allies, including the Gundam Fighter champions of China, America, France and Russia. Although the pilot and his companion, Rain Mikamura,  didn’t manage to get any new information about his brother.

Domon did, however, meet his old master again, Master Asia, who helped him fend off a group of Devil Gundam controlled mobile suits in the ruins of Tokyo. After an incredible short sparring session and some turnarounds, Domon learns Master Asia was actually working with the Devil Gundam. Master Asia claimed the Devil Gundam’s DG Cells were necessary to restore the Earth, and sent possessed versions of Domon’s own friends to fight him. All seemed lost until the old Shuffle Alliance appeared. Master Asia’s former allies sacrificed themselves in a kamikaze attack and cleansed Domon’s friends of the DG cells controlling them.

After the death of the older Shuffle Alliance, Domon activated his Shining Gundam’s Super Mode and forced Master Asia to retreat with the Devil Gundam as it was fully active. In the aftermath, a stranger known only as Neo Germany’s pilot Schwarz Bruder appeared and convinced Domon that he was not ready yet to face the Devil Gundam, and should instead seek further training.

Thus, Domon went to the Guyana Highlands, where he originally trained with Master Asia, with the purpose of training to learn to activate and control the Shining Gundam’s Super Mode at will. With Schwarz’s help, the other members of the new Shuffle Alliance were convinced to train as well after they overcame the initial trauma from the incident at Shinjuku (excluding Argo). However, Master Asia and the Devil Gundam made their move once all five fighters were gathered.

The group only had a matter of days to make it to Neo Hong Kong, the location of the Gundam Fight Finals, or be disqualified. In the climax of the fight against the Devil Gundam, Domon stayed behind while the rest of the Shuffle Alliance headed to Neo Hong Kong, had them take a sickly Rain, and promised to provide her safe passage. With some help from Schwarz, Domon defeated the Devil Gundam after achieving the True Super Mode (what would later be called Hyper Mode) that was triggered by a serene state of mind and not anger. After seeing the Devil Gundam destroyed, Master Asia lashed out at Domon in rage and damaged the Shining Gundam before he was defeated. Fortunately, Rain had contacted her father, Dr. Mikamura, who sent the God Gundam (Burning Gundam in the English version, the fucking cowards AGAIN) to the Guyana Highlands. After Rain transferred the battle data of the Shining Gundam to the God Gundam, Master Asia attacked Domon again. However, Domon once again utilized the serene state of mind to enter Hyper Mode and soundly defeated Master Asia in his Master Gundam, which temporarily put an end to his fight against the Devil Gundam. After he knew that he wouldn’t make it to Neo Hong Kong in time by flying the conventional way, Domon ascended into space and used the beam ring that surrounded the Earth as a giant catapult to give him an enormous boost in speed.

During the Finals, Domon won many battles with his new God Gundam, and planned to face Master Asia in the Battle Royale by remaining undefeated. Domon found refuge with an old fisherman named Han and his two children, Hoy and Ming who became his moral support. Domon encountered many fighters such as Marcelot Cronos of Neo Greece, Carlos Andalusia of Neo Spain, and the young Allenby Beardsley of Neo Sweden. Wong Yunfat later forced Domon to fight his Shuffle Alliance partners, which wasn’t easy since they improved themselves during the training at the Guyana Highlands, and developed their own Hyper Mode along with a new technique.

Later, Master Asia arranged for Domon to come meet him, and revealed that his final match before the Battle Royale would be against his surrogate teacher, Schwarz Bruder. While Domon was trapped in an old section of Neo Hong Kong with Master Asia, Master Asia taught Domon the Sekiha Tenkyoken, his most advanced technique to help him defeat Schwarz. When the match began, Domon learned that Rain had become a part of the Neo Germany Team and that she was forced to watch Schwarz as he overwhelmed Domon, who couldn’t execute his God Finger Attack due to a damaged part in the circuitry. Although Domon swore to fight alone, Rain had a change of heart and helped Domon win the match by giving him instructions to repair the damage, which allowed Domon to use the Sekiha Tenkyoken Technique. Domon learned that Schwarz had used Rain to teach him that he couldn’t fight alone, and was more shocked to see Schwarz’s unmasked face, the face of his brother Kyoji.

During the Battle Royale, the Devil Gundam finally resurfaced along with three evil Gundams, with two of these appearing during the Final Rounds piloted by the disqualified Michelo and the revived Chapman, Gundam Heaven’s Sword and the Grand Gundam. After the other four Shuffle Alliance members nearly sacrificed themselves to defeat the two, Domon then was attacked by a berserk Allenby who piloted the Walter Gundam, with Rain arriving in the Rising Gundam to counter Allenby so that Domon could get to the Devil Gundam.

But once he fought against the Devil Gundam, Domon learned from an injured Schwarz that he was just an android copy of Kyoji who was created by DG Cells, and that Neo Japan’s Major Ulube Ishikawa and Rain’s father, Dr. Mikamura (who had been Domon’s primary contacts from Neo Japan’s government) were the real conspirators behind the Devil Gundam Incident.

In reality, the Devil Gundam was originally called the Ultimate Gundam, and its three theories of self-recovery, self-evolution, and self-multiplication were intended to restore Earth. However, Kyoji took the Ultimate Gundam to prevent Ulube from getting ahold of it and it crashed on Earth. The Gundam’s computer systems malfunctioned, transformed into the Devil Gundam, and absorbed Kyoji as the Core Life Unit. Shortly thereafter, Schwarz decided to sacrifice himself alongside Kyoji in order to defeat the Devil Gundam. After much hesitation, a tearful Domon accepted to give him the final, killing blow.

After the Devil Gundam was defeated, an enraged Master Asia attacked Domon and revealed that not only was he disgusted by the current condition of the world that was caused by the previous Gundam Fights, but also that he had joined the Devil Gundam and used Wong to help his plan to force the remaining people into space. Master Asia expressed his belief that once humanity was gone, then nature could restore itself. But after defeating his former master in battle, Domon convinced Master Asia that his plan would have failed anyway, since humans were also part of nature and that removing them from the Earth wouldn’t solve anything. The God Gundam and the Master Gundam clashed in their Hyper Modes, with the God Gundam prevailing. Before Master Asia died, they both made amends and Domon held his master in his arms, reciting the words of the school of the Undefeated in the East.

Despite his victory over the Gundam Fight, with Neo Japan the ruling government, Domon felt it that was an empty victory without Rain, who decided to distance herself from Domon since she learned the truth of her father’s involvement in the Devil Gundam Incident from Schwarz, and saw his crimes against the Kasshus hers as well (her family name was tarnished). But unknown to both of them, Ulube salvaged the remains of the inactive Devil Gundam and got ahold of the late Wong Yunfat’s research notes, which revealed that a female was the best suited Core Life Unit. Ulube ended up using Rain as the new Core Life Unit of the Devil Gundam and then merged it with the Neo Japan Colony, which turned it into the Colony Devil Gundam.

With the help from his Shuffle Alliance allies and the reformed Dr. Mikamura, who released Dr. Kasshu’s capsule at the cost of his life while he begged Domon to apologize to Rain for him and tell her not to blame herself for his actions, the five Gundam Fighters made it into the colony as Allenby, Kyral, and the nations’ other Gundam Fighters gathered to protect the Earth from the Devil Gundam. Domon, alongside his Shuffle Alliance Allies, was able to defeat Ulube in the Grand Master Gundam, only to learn from his father that he needed to shut down the Core Life Unit, which meant killing Rain.

Domon then went on his own to find Rain while the rest of the Shuffle Alliance dealt with the Grand Master Gundam that was regenerated through DG Cells. Domon was able to find the main body of the Devil Gundam within the Colony Devil Gundam, but was warned by his father that Rain was controlling it. With a reminder from Allenby about why Rain had wanted to distance herself from Domon and further encouragement from his Shuffle Alliance friends, Domon was able to tell Rain about what her late father said and admitted his feelings towards her. After Rain severed herself from the Devil Gundam, her and Domon combined their energy and used the Erupting Burning Finger Sekiha Love-Love Tenkyoken to permanently destroy it. In the end, the two went to Earth together and we’re left of a promise to meet in the next Gundam Fight.

Domon’s Powers and Abilities

Being trained under Master Asia for 10 years, Domon became incredibly skilled in martial arts. His main style is the School of the Undefeated of the East, which consists of a mix of various asian martial arts, mainly kung fu. In fact, Domon is so skilled he eventually surpassed his master and earned the title of King of Hearts, the greatest martial artists in all the colonies.

Domon is also able to fight with a katana and has been shown to adapt and incorporate the fighting styles of his friends and enemies to his own, being able to replicate techniques from Chibodee Crocket and Master Asia.

Domon is also doted of formidable strength, speed, durability and stamina, as G Gundam is heavily inspired by wuxia literature, where characters being superhuman is fairly common.

THE FIGHT

On a lonely island located in the pacific ocean, Domon Kasshu meditates. After the defeat of the Devil Gundam and his wedding with Rain, it was hard for him to find some time for himself and his continuous training, but he managed to take some time off. While the sun was setting, the King of Hearts remembered his time with his master and got up for another session of combat practice.

Out of nowhere, a loud shattering sound could be heard from the coast of the island, along with a large light column appearing. Domon ran to the coast and was surprised with what he found there on the beach.

A young man wearing what seemed like a white pilot suit jumped out of a huge bright red mecha and instantly pointed at him. That was Jin Saotome.

“HEY, YOU THERE”, shouted the young pilot, “WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED? WHAT AM I DOING HERE?”

Jin remembered being blinded by a strange light while flying on his way to the Satellite Base where he’d find his father’s killer. What could have this been?

“We’re on an island near Neo Hong Kong. I don’t know what you’re doing here with your Mobile Fighter, but the Gundam Fight is over”, replied Domon to the inpatient Jin.

“WHAT THE HELL IS A GUNDAM? YOU STILL HAVEN’T TOLD ME WHAT I’M DOING HERE! HOW ABOUT YOU COME DOWN HERE AND TELL ME AFTER I KICK YOUR ASS, EARTH CORPS SCUM?”

“Itching for a fight aren’t you? Very well.” Domon smirked. That MAN reminded him a lot of his younger self. The King of Hearts jumped down from the cliff where he was standing, landing on the soft sand of the beach, in front of his hot blooded opponent. “Show me what you’ve got”

Jin leaped forward and immediately aimed a kick at Domon, who swiftly dodged to the side, promptly counter attacking with a fierce punch that knocked Saotome back a bit. The angered pilot dashed at Kasshu once again, starting a furious sequence of fiery punches and kicks that Domon matched blow for blow while analyzing his opponent in his thoughts.

“His strength is immense, but his skill and discipline… is he self taught?”

Domon ended the struggle with a kick to the gut, which once again knocked Jin back. The King of Hearts lunged at his enemy again, preparing a powerful punch, aiming to finish the fight quickly, but was surprised which came next.

“CYCLONE!”

Jin Saotome shouted and started spinning in place, causing a burning tornado to form around him and hit Domon, who flew backwards, confused.

As soon as his opponent hit the ground, Saotome ran and grabbed his face.

“I’VE GOT YOU NOW!”

He then proceeded to start grinding Domon against the ground while running, causing fire to appear, and then threw him hard to the base of the cliff at the beach, cracking it. The King of Hearts was surprised at that powerful assault, but as soon as his opponent jumped and shouted “CYCLONE KICK!” to continue it, he counterattacked. Domon grabbed Jin’s leg with both hands, swinging him back at the cracked rock wall, violently shattering it with the impact.

“Stay down.”

“DYNAMITE!!!!”

Jin Saotome slowly got up and shouted again, causing his entire pilot suit to explode in pieces, which Domon avoided by jumping back a few meters. The pieces flew to the pilot again and the suit was reformed.

Jin unsheathed the sword he had on his back revealing its sharp blade.

“I won’t lose to you.”

Domon did the same, revealing a katana and assuming a fighting stance.

Without further words, the fighters dashed at each other and exchanged a furious flurry of swings with their swords, making the sound of metal blades clashing echo through the entire island.

Before it was over, they prepared for a final attack. Looking at each other’s determined eyes, they jumped forward and swung their blades.

The fighters landed a few meters apart after the clash, with their backs turned against each other. After a few moments, Jin’s katana was cut in two pieces, and a superficial cut appeared on his chest, tearing through his suit and making him bleed. Domon sheathed his sword and faced his opponent, who promptly got up and spoke.

“This is not OVER YET! BLODIA!!”

As Jin shouted, the robot he arrived at the island with made an activation noise and dashed to his location, extending his hand to the pilot. Saotome quickly jumped on it, and then to Blodia’s cockpit, entering it.

Domon smirked, it had been a while since he didn’t have a fight like that. He raised his hand to the hair and snapped his fingers, shouting.

“GUNDAM!!”

The God Gundam flew from the middle of the island to the shore, landing before its pilot on the beach. Domon Kasshu jumped inside its cockpit and got dressed with his Gundam Fighter pilot suit, as both mecha assumed a fighting position.

The two steel giants flew to each other and clashed fists, generating a huge shockwave across the island. They continued the clash, matching each other’s blows and flying up to the island. The Gundam hit Blodia with a spinning kick, launching it downwards and creating a crater.

From down there, Blodia started shooting its airborne opponent with its shield gun and the BIT. The Gundam avoided the shots, and unsheathed its beam swords, swinging down. The BIT was cut in half by one of the swords, and the next swing was aimed at Blodia.

Blodia blocked, and punched the God Gundam in the chest with its power knuckle, as a cartridge ejected from it.

Knocked back by the blow, the Gundam shot at Blodia with its vulcans, making it block once again. Using this opportunity, Domon hit his enemy with a jet boosted sweep which made Blodia fall.

The God Gundam made a failed attempt to stab its opponent’s head with his sword, but Blodia was swifter than expected and got up in no time with its thrusters.

Blodia dashed forward and surprised the Gundam with its charge, grabbing Domon’s mecha and continuously pummeling it with the power knuckle and making it drop its swords, while the two robots devastated meters and meters of forest in the fight.

Blodia finished the assault with a powerful energy charged chest attack, making the Gundam fly upwards and get back up. The mechas flew at each other again, this time with the Gundam dodging with a jump and surprising Blodia on the other side. As soon as Jin noticed and made Blodia turn, Domon began a viciously fast beatdown on him.

The Gundam’s attacks were as fierce as they were fluid, hitting Blodia with punches and kicks so fast it couldn’t react. Trying to break free, the red mecha extended the blades from its right arm to stab the Gundam, but it was too quick and quickly broke them with a kick. As Blodia was preparing to shoot with the shield gun again, Domon’s voice was heard.

“Time to end this.”

The Gundam’s hand began to burn a bright orange as it assumed an attack pose. Before Blodia could do anything, Domon’s mecha dashed forward and grabbed its head.

“ERUPTING GOD FINGER!”

A powerful burst of energy and heat was released, causing Blodia to fly several meters back and hit a huge rock, completely shattering it creating a trail of destruction with its impact.

The Gundam flew to its opponent location and witnessed the heavily damaged mecha getting up and beginning to shine bright with energy.

“I won’t go down like this… I’M GONNA BEAT YOU RIGHT NOW”

Domon was surprised by Blodia’s new found strength, and was hit by a fierce punch. Blodia began pushing the Gundam with a flurry of blows, but as Domon hit back, Jin’s mecha wouldn’t flinch.

The God Gundam managed to escape and fly back, as Domon began talking to himself.

“GET BACK HERE YOU COWARD!” shouted Jin Saotome, as he noticed the Gundam began to glow with golden energy.

“I can feel you. I can feel your anger, your revenge. Anger won’t win this, not anymore”

As these words echoed, Domon and his Gundam assumed a powerful golden colored form, and a bright aura, this was the Hyper Mode.

Without further talk, Domon surprised Jin by dashing forward and starting to beat him down. The once unflinching Blodia began to get pummeled by strikes even fiercer and faster than before, being sent flying back with a punch in the end of the assault.

“The School of the Undefeated in the East: the ultimate technique…”

The Gundam joined its hands together and produced an expanding energy sphere that grew and seemed to bear the symbol of the King of Hearts.

“SEKIHA TENKYOUKEN!”

As Domon shouted these powerful words, the Gundam extended its arms forward and launched the energy sphere, which grew even bigger and was glowing very bright. As the attack approached, the damaged Blodia could only block with its shield.

The impact caused a huge explosion which lit up the entire island and vaporized hundreds of meters of forest around the fighters. Blodia kneeled, its arm completely melted away from the blast.

As a tired and panting Jin looked around for his opponent, the imposing golden figure reappeared.

Domon’s voice could be heard.

“This hand of mine is burning red! Its loud roar tells me to grasp victory! ERUPTING! GOD! FINGEEEER!”

The God Gundam dashed forward, its right hand burning bright. It struck Blodia’s abdomen, piercing it.

The Gundam then proceeded to lift the enemy above its head while Domon shouted:

“HEAT END!”

Another powerful energy blast was released, this time completely shattering Blodia in millions of pieces. The cockpit flew away, miraculously surviving the explosion with heavy damage. Domon jumped off of his Gundam in its direction walking through the aftermath of the fight.

He reached the remains of the cockpit and opened the hatch, finding an unconscious Jin Saotome inside.

Domon smiled.

The King of Hearts grabbed him and carried the pilot away on his shoulder to treat his wounds. They had much to talk about.

K.O!

THE VERDICT

Jin and Blodia were able to put up a good fight, but the King of Hearts and his God Gundam outclassed them in every category.

Jin could punch so fast his hand would ignite, and that should yield a pretty good result in kinetic energy, but nothing compared to Domon kicking up a large building several dozens of meters into the air. Not only that, but Domon actually has feats and experience as a fighter, while Jin can only get his moves from MvC as reference. Domon being trained for 10 years under the greatest martial artist in the world and later surpassing also gives the Gundam Fighter a huge experience in skill, while Jin learned to fight by himself.

Blodia had some neat arsenal, but nothing the God Gundam hadn’t dealt with before and couldn’t counter. The Gundam was also way more powerful, as it created collateral damage greater than anything Blodia was capable of doing in Cyberbots. The clash with Master Asia vaporized a big portion of the island they were fighting on, while Jin was only able to destroy buildings. In terms of speed, they’re roughly equal. God Gundama scales to Gundams that can dodge lightning bolts and can fly out of the atmosphere itself, and so can Blodia, but this wasn’t saving it from getting overwhelmed by an enemy with superior strength for long. Domon could also overwhelm Jin with his clones, making the gap even bigger.

But let’s be more lenient. What about the Particle Atomizer?

It can create this big boom. You calc this and get a result ranging from to Country level to Continental. The argument that Jin scales to that has two bases: 1. Gawaine destroyed the cannon with a suicide attack in his ending, and Jin upscales him; 2. Arrieta absorbing the explosion to herself makes her scale to the explosion in durability, and everyone in the cast scales to her because they can cause damage.

That’s pretty good right? Would Jin stomp with this then?

That’s where you’re wrong!

The Colony Devil Gundam can do this.

If you calc the explosion, you’ll get a similar result to the Particle Atomizer’s big boom. However, if you calculate the kinetic energy result from this tentacle reaching the planet from thousands and thousands of kilometers away at ridiculous speeds, it’ll get even higher, bordering the planetary range. Using the same logic, Domon should scale because: 1. The tendrils are fodder to him; 2. Domon defeated the core and energy source of the Colony Devil Gundam; 3. The God Gundam tanks a lot of attacks from the Colony Devil Gundam and so can other Gundams.

With that, Domon stomps even harder, as it’s a Moon-Small Planet Domon vs a Country-Continental Jin.

It seems like the hot blooded VA Pilot was no match for the King of Hearts.
